Rail Passengers Association spends a lot of time talking about the passengers who depend on passenger trains and the communities that benefit from Amtrak service. But what about the men and women who work every day to keep these essential services running? COVID-19 landed a one-two punch on America’s transportation workforce. Front-line workers have had to risk their health to keep the trains running through a pandemic, only to face massive furloughs and layoffs across the entire rail and transit sector when rescue funds dried up.

Join us on Wednesday, December 16th as we hear directly from labor groups representing the railroad workers who keep Amtrak running , share stories from front-line workers who have been hurt by service cuts, and talk about how railroad workers and their passengers can work together to grow and improve service in the U.S.
