Comments: Station located in the middle of downtown, near many hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions. GO Transit (regional rail and bus) shares the station. TTC subway directly adjacent. The station is operated by VIA Rail Canada, and serves many VIA inter-city trains as well as the daily Amtrak Maple Leaf. One ticket window is equipped to book and issue Amtrak tickets. Beware that Amtrak ticketing is available only in the morning. VIA Rail ticketing is allowed all day. There are no Amtrak Quik-Trak machines. There are VIA Rail automatic ticket kiosks that will issue already-reserved VIA tickets, but not Amtrak tickets. The building is a beautiful late-1920s Union Station, worth walking through even if not boarding a train. |
