Newbern is a quaint and user-friendly station. Parking is sufficient and also very safe since the police department is across the street and officers are generally on the premises at train time. The waiting room is comfortable and very attractive with easy access to restrooms and barrier-free access to the parking lot and to the railroad track.

This station does not have a ticket office or a baggage office. So print out an e-ticket from your home computer before you drive to the station, and carry only two on-board pieces of luggage. If you have to travel with lots of extra luggage, I recommend catching the train out of Memphis, which has a baggage office.
