Comments: The station is in "Uptown Normal," a revitalized district right near the Illinois State University campus. It is a relatively safe area and the station is right on the Constitution Trail, a walking/biking path through town. The station, platform, parking, and multimodal transportation will all change by 2012, as the Town of Normal has broken ground on a new parking deck to go with a new Multimodal Transportation Center, so that city busses can have a "downtown" rendezvous point with the trains and taxis, which show up quickly now when called.
