Comments: The station is on the South Side of the Kanawha River, literally underneath the approach ramp to the South Side Bridge. While some leave their cars there for more than a few hours, the places where this is possible are limited. Further, while the station is literally across the river from downtown, it is kind of isolated. For short term parking, space is very limited on Wednesday and Friday nights. The old waiting room is a restaurant and that crowd usually fills the lot. Taxis can take sometimes 30 minutes or more to arrive. Other than the very expensive and fancy restaurant mentioned above, there are no eating establishments, particularly the fast food variety, near the station. Station hours are S-W-F 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM or whenever #51 leaves. It is closed from 1:00 to 3:45 PM on those days for "lunch." (Note # 50 and 51 only run 3 days a week).
