Celebrate National Train Day and Help NARP Grow

National Train Day 2012 is right around the corner—Saturday, May 12—and events large and small are being held all across the country to commemorate the completion of the first transcontinental railroad 143 years ago and celebrate Americans' ongoing connections with railroads and love of train travel. 

Aside from a fun way to spend a day with your family or friends, National Train Day is also an excellent opportunity to spread the word about NARP and the work we do every day to bring about a robust, modern passenger train network in the United States. We cannot achieve our mission without growing the ranks of our members and supporters, and that is where you can be a big help.

Please look at the complete listing of National Train Day events (hosted by Amtrak) and the list of events in which NARP is already participating. If you'd like to help out with an event NARP is already participating in, please contact the designated Volunteer Contact for that event (listed on our Website).
