Correction to an item from October 29 -- The 11th-hour agreement between Amtrak and the state of Pennsylvania means that a Harrisburg line schedule has gone into effect today that offers comparable Harrisburg-Philadelphia service, compared to before. But it also increases New York round trips through better crew and equipment utilization. The state is offering Amtrak financial assistance for this change. A schedule can be had by sending NARP a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
