ENDANGERED SEGMENT MAPS FROM AMTRAK STRATEGIC PLAN

The maps shown below are from Amtrak's Strategic Report and chronicle the precarious nature of critical parts of our nation's freight rail infrastructure. They appeared in our July 2004 newsletter.

If you have not already read Amtrak's report, you may download it from Amtrak's website (click on “FY 2005-2009 Amtrak Strategic Plan,” the second link). The file is roughly 2MB in size.

The maps below are formatted to be of reasonable size for posting on the internet, thus they are not designed for publication. If you would like to use one or both of these maps in a publication, please contact us and we will be happy to give you permission to use them, as well as format them (black and white/color, resolution, etc.).

If you have trouble viewing and/or printing these images, first save them to your computer ("opposite click" with your mouse, scroll to "save image"), then open them separately on your computer.
