I know nobody reads newspapers anymore, but: Wendell Cox is at it again! He hit all the majors last week with a diatribe about “greenhouse gas belching HSR”.

Can anybody link me to a successful response Letter to the Editor? I’m trying to draft one but I need to tone down the rage.

(Just respond to this comment. I have it flagged for notification.)

Even a cursory look at what has already happened where states have invested significantly in intercity trains would prove Cox wrong. Now that federal money is starting to flow, rail is poised to really take off in terms of ridership. High ridership further enhances rail’s proven energy efficiency, and hence lowers its climate impact.

NARP President Ross Capon responded to a similar attack in the Wasington Examiner.
