» Visit the Official NARP Website We’re here…really!Saturday, April 15, 2006Its been a hectic couple of weeks and we haven’t had a chance to update the blog in a while. Apologies to our faithful readers! Ross and I have both been very busy…April newsletter, the TransAction conference in New Jersey, public witness statements to the House Appropriations Committee, Congressional meetings, you name it! The April Newsletter is available on the regular NARP website for those who have registered for members access. The House Appropriations statement can be read by everyone. Quick train story…my girlfriend and I rode from Washington to Newport News last night on Amtrak. While “by the book” the train takes longer than driving, I knew we made the right choice when I saw I-95 (which the CSX tracks parallel near the Auto Train facility in Lorton). It was stopped! Not just slow, but dead stopped. That’s a sure fire fun way to begin a holiday weekend…or not! We’ll do a longer update next week. —Dave Johnson Posted by NARPTags:©2010 National Association of Railroad Passengers | » NARP website |
